And A Little Child Shall Lead Them

In days of confusion such as we live in, there are no shortage of worldly, plastic-smiling leaders who are content with the status quo.

Meanwhile, The Lord laments “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children…” (Hos 4:6); and “If I go out to the field, Behold, those slain with the sword! And if I enter the city, Behold, those sick from famine! Yes, both prophet and priest go about in a land they know not…” (Jer 14:18).

Yes, today we are “led,” sadly, by the same ilk of ignorant and worldly “shepherds,” who do not credibly know, believe, teach or stand for God and the things of God.

According to Canon Law, the principal role of the priest is to offer The Mass (cf. Can 904). The first responsibility of a bishop and his Chapter is the liturgical service of God in the Church (Ratzinger, quoted by Cardinal Sarah, in He Gave Us So Much, p. 80). And finally, instead of being a “nice guy”, as the saintly Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen reminds us, a priest is first related to Christ The Head, and only after that, is he related to the body, to the other nembers of the faithful (ie, the laity), and thus his first responsibility is to The Lord.

The point is, fellow believers, that our “leaders” and “spiritual fathers” are not doing their jobs, most do not know their jobs, and the young ones are not allowed to learn or be taught what their job is (Mt. 23:15).

In such times, the Church must always, of course, turn to Our Lord, to Our Lady, and to the holy angels and saints of God.

One such saint of God we need to pray much more to – but feared to be mentioned in our worldly, PC, effeminate age – is Mother Angelica, PCPA.

Remember, this is the saint and prophet of God who famously said, after reading a portion of Cardinal Mahoney’s “pastoral” letter on the eucharist to the world one night, declared that her “obedience in that diocese would be zero,” because of all the errors and ambiguities and darkness contained in the cardinal’s words. Because of his disloyalty to Our Lord. World panic and attack ensued, as if she had said something wrong.

She did not.

Any number of readers might disagree, argue, etc. A certain seminary rector (now wearing the scarlet hat) called her imprudent.

In response, I give you God Himself. Months into the battle, He sent The All-Holy Virgin to EWTN and, through the instrumentality of a spiritual daughter of St. Padre Pio, healed Mother of a several-decades-long spinal injury, returning to her the ability to walk normally, without the crutches and leg braces she always had to use before.

It is my assertion that anyone who does not see that God was declaring who was totally in the right in this most important matter of The Truth of The Eucharist is a fool.

She is a Saint of The Mass and The Eucharist.

Moving forward, Our Blessed Lord intervened directly, again.

Mother was planning to build a small, new monastery, about an hour away from EWTN, in the quiet Alabama countryside. While visiting Columbia, being shown around the Cathedral in Bogotá of El Divino Niño, Our Lord commanded her to “Build Me a Temple…”, and one can see the awesome final result today.

But, the “story” is not over. God Himself intervened directly again.

He Himself marked this Sacred Place of His with a sign, a biblical sign, a sign of Renewal in His Church. The cross which sits atop the facade of the church was struck by lightning during a storm, and the top was “shaved straight off, as with a knife,” she told us later. The resulting shape was in the form of the “Tau” Cross, a sign of St. Francis, a sign from The Bible, mentioned in the Old Testament, “The Lord said to him, ‘Go through the city, through Jerusalem, and put a mark upon the foreheads of the men who sigh and groan over the abominations…”, (Ezek 9:4), and in Revelations in several places (Rev 7:3, 9:4), and a sign known to be a sign of renewal in the Church.

Again, what God was saying in and through the life of this humble, very, very holy, adoring servant of His is totally obvious. Only a fool who chooses to close his eyes will not see it.

This woman, this Eucharistic saint and prophet of His, is far, far more trustworthy, true, correct, credible, knowledgeable, than all of the worldly “sons” of the Apostles today (barring the very few).

She is the authentic sign of renewal. This thorn in the side of worldly, heterodox (or worse) prelates and priests, in her defense of Our Lord, of His Mass and Its Truth and Meaning and all things connected with It, in all her fights over the Ad Orientem posture, the use of Latin, of real sacred music, for the all-male priesthood, against the evils of “inclusive” language, for real and beautiful churches, sacred vestments and precious vessels, in her willingness to speak out against all the abuses and evils of Holy Communion in the hand, altar girls, “extraordinary ministers”, Communion under both Species, priests who do not make Confessions available and who wear no priestly garb, and everything else, she was the one who always, always, always “took The Lord’s side,” who defended The Lord and His position and His rights, since His ignorant, foolish, worldly and yes, sinful, bishops never did or would.

She had the wisdom, intelligence, (boatloads of) common sense, the (manful, episcopal) courage to call things as they are, and to see and ackowledge the obvious reality that the attack on The Mass was an attack on the very Faith of the Church of God, on God Himself and on His People, to lead them away from Him.

Visit this place of God. Be open, and receive the Truth that perhaps you have never been taught before in your life.

Begin to realize more and more and more of What IS The Mass, and Why It Is The Source, Center and Summit of my life? Why isn’t It more important to me? Why isn’t It obviously The Most Important Thing to my bishop? To my priest? To my family, my Catholic friends?
